When it's time to build a new deck on your home, there are lots of things to consider. What company are you going to hire? What are my local building codes and will the company we hire know them? Is the company I am about to hire a licensed company? Do I need a permit? What materials will I use? How much will it cost? The list goes on and on. We here at NC Deck & Railing Company will make sure you are 100% confident in not only our companies understanding and knowledge of decks and how to construct them, but also that you are aware of all your building and deck material options as well. Time and time again, people call our office stating they know exactly what they want and ask us to give them a proposal to build their deck. By the time we leave the initial consultation, the original idea the customer had has changed and they have a completely different vision of what they want there deck to look like thanks to the knowledge they have acquired during the meeting.
Nc Deck & Railing Company plays by the rules. If your job requires a permit, we will submit all the city/county paperwork for our Customers to obtain the building permit as well as manage all building department scheduling and inspections. Our customers never have to deal with building departments or inspections and always receive a copy of all inspections and final approvals so they know their deck is built right. Some of our customers ask if we would do the project without a permit but the long and short answer to that is NO! We are not perfect and people make mistakes. Permits and inspections can be a headache and even slow a project down a little bit buy we like to look at them as cheap insurance. It takes a lot more time and money to build it twice.
Nc Deck & Railing Company offers a large variety of decking materials to choose from. From pressure treated traditional lumber decking to the very best composite products out there. Traditional lumber comes in a variety of species and sizes. Wether it be 2x6 deck boards or 5/4 x 6 deck boards, both get the job done. Natural lumber offers a very natural look and feel. It can be painted and or stained to meet any desired look for your residence. It is a very strong decking product to choose and offers a look that no composite decking board can.
Composite decking was a game changer in the early 90's and has since been redesigned multiple times. From encapsulated PVC to solid polymer, there has never been a more durable composite product on the market. With a variety of colors, blends and borders, there is not much you can not do with composite products. Although there is a big misunderstanding about composite deckings regarding maintenance. Many people believe it is either maintenance free or just need to pressure wash and it looks new. Composites are very susceptible to markings from pressure washing so in turn you need to be very careful in regards to how much pressure you apply as well as what chemicals to use. Please check manufactures warranty and maintenance documents prior to performing care and maintenance.
