I had an excellent experience with Corey and his crew. First they Barlow's with the design and followed all of our requirements. They were professional offering a full written contract and they were reliable, showing up when they said they would and communicating when plans changed. Corey was able to make changes as we requested new services. They installed a deck and a back door and repaired some of our siding. His pricing was fair and Corey goes out of his way to make sure his customers are satisfied and happy with the results. I would definitely hire him again. KC Hill

This review is in reference to the NC Deck & Railing Company. The owner, Corey Mitchell, delivered exceptional workmanship and care in the design, replacing an existing deck (28 years old), and adding on to double the overall size for our new deck. While the pricing was not the least expensive compared to other contractors, Corey listened to us, offered input that helped us understand quality of products to use, make changes per his suggestions as needed along the way (at no additional cost), and stay within the code requirements all to save on our out-of-pocket cost. Corey was personable, respectful, and fun to talk to. He saw that we had a new mailbox delivered to our home. Corey installed the mailbox at no cost to us. For all of the aforementioned reasons……. Wonderful experience with NC Deck and Railing. From the first evaluation to the completion of project. Corey Mitchell's building knowledge surpassed our expectations and he was able to salvage, repair and rebuild our 35+ year old deck. He has built a team of trusted craftsmen who understands his high standards and no subcontractors are used. After years of dissatisfaction with various contractors/handy men we felt like we struck gold with when we found NC Deck and Railing.

Corey and the crew at NC Deck and Railing Co. Were great to work with. We had an existing front porch rail system that we wanted to upgrade to accent our new metal roof as well as a rotting ramp to our storage building, both had issues that Corey suggested solutions we do to ensure a better finished result. From start to finish they stayed in contact with us and did what they said they were going to do and when as well as a follow-up visit to ensure the job was completed to our satisfaction. The new front porch, the new front deck, also the new hand rails that Nate did are awesome.The screened in back porch also looks amazing. MY house is 54 years old and they ran into several problems that they took care of easily. I like the fact that they cleaned up everything before they left. They all did an Awesome job! I appreciate this company so much and the work they did on my deck. The level of expertise displayed, from the estimate by Corey to all the hard and meticulous work by his team, and the finance, billing, and scheduling from Paula.  The quality of the work and the product is super. I did not feel confident with those from other companies who gave me estimates. I usually don't give reviews until the job is done but there is no need to wait. I recommend NC Deck and Railing with great enthusiasm. Pictures to come once complete.

I'm not one to write reviews, however, I think this one is well deserved.  Finding this company was one of the best decisions I made when it came to contractors.  After I was faced with some issues from another contractor, Mr. Mitchell and his guys have made it easy for me to be able to know that I am getting quality work.  From my experience if the work is being done by this company, you are going to get top quality work, and it will be done to code and right!  If I could give this company a higher rating, I would.   You will not be disappointed with the work this company will do for you.  In my case, I feel you have gone above and beyond.  I will hire them again if I ever have another project.  This company is honest, trustworthy and has hardworking people to do the job.

I would like to commend NC Deck & Rails on a wonderful job of rebuilding my wood deck with composite and screening in my existing covered porch. Corey Mitchell and his team were spot on in getting started within 2 weeks of signing the contract. There work was exceptional and they kept things neat and organized as they worked. The only regret I have is not calling them years ago. I am glad that I chose NC Deck & Rails and look forward to doing future business with them. I will post pictures of their work online soon.

We are very pleased with the work NC Deck & Railing did to turn our screen porch into an outdoors-focused room with a wide view of our deck and wooded back yard, and in converting the deck to beautiful composite decking with powder-coated black aluminum railings.
Corey Mitchell at NC Deck & Railing powered through supply chain problems to keep the project moving, partly by supplying upgraded interior and exterior finishing materials, creating a much more beautiful room than we expected at no additional cost to us. He was always available, by messaging, phone, and email, and often on-site, to answer questions. The crew he sent worked hard, were knowledgeable and obviously proud of their work, cleaned up after each day’s work, and were a delight to have around. Glad we found NC Deck & Railing for the project.

My wife and I decided to replace our 30 year old wood deck back in April.  We chose NC Deck and Railing to do this work.  We found Corey Mitchell and his work crew to be great to work with and they did a spectacular job!  We chose Timbertech Decking with RDI Steel-Inserted-Handrail system.

Now that the deck is done we are very happy with our choice of products and with everyone at NC Deck and Railing!  The quality of the labor, decking, railing, as well as advice on how to address our needs and desires was excellent. We would heartily recommend them to all!

Recently Corey and his team replaced our deck.  The new deck (all 1850 sq ft.)surrounds our in-ground pool .  The construction was done professionally and on-time!  The quality of the work was awesome.  The few change orders we requested were painlessly added into the job.  And finally, the clean up was detailed and then the completed project was ready to use.  The total project took about two weeks; in line with estimates!

NC Deck & Railing helped me tremendously with resolving a homeowner's nightmare that came about by the homeowner not having done their research of a builder that provided a quote that ended up being "too good to be true". Recently had a modular home placed on a beautiful spot in Trinity and initially hired an independent contractor that claimed they had over 25 years experience in building houses, decks, and carpentry. Their pricing was very appealing. I wanted one set of steps that incorporated two landings due to the quantity of steps leading to the back door entrance and another 12 x 12 deck at patio doors. Contractor was aware that construction would have to be inspected prior to receiving certificate of occupancy. The deck to the back door alone had 17 violations! I was absolutely devastated, angry, felt violated and taken advantage of. I then searched for a highly-rated deck builder to look at the mess I was left to deal with and be willing to remove the "nightmare" of the poorly built decks and rebuild so my home could pass inspection so I could move in. Corey came out and looked at my situation and provided a quote. Before agreeing to the price, which was significantly more than the initial contractor quoted and above my budget for the project, BUT Corey's explanation of how he would remove the existing deathtraps and rebuild with quality and craftsmanship that I will be proud of for years to come, his reassurance, empathy of my situation and heartache, knowledge, and ability to get things done with attach to detail convinced me that his company is the one that I could trust and know that he/they really care about providing what they promise and commit to. I was able to communicate with Corey or Paula via text, phone, or email; they always responded and answered any questions I had during the reconstruction. I do recommend NC Deck & Railing to any homeowner in the Triad area that is seeking a contractor that knows the varied building codes across multiple counties, whom to talk to at the local inspection depts to get permits, inspections, and to move the project along without the homeowner having to deal with it. NC Deck/Railing is an asset to our community as a dependable and reputable contractor. As my husband said "buy once, cry once", it is worth paying more for quality materials, construction, and decks to be very proud of.
